Black Belt

Chris Haueter is one of the Dirty Dozen — the first twelve non-Brazilians ever awarded a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu — and the first American black belt to compete at the Worlds in Brazil. He coined the term "combat base," named positions the entire sport now uses, and his teaching lineage runs so deep that Conor McGregor once called him his "coach's coach's coach."

At 50, Chris hit the wall every older grappler knows: ice packs after every session, nagging injuries, younger training partners using him as a wrestling dummy. His answer became his philosophy — train as if you're ten years older, not ten years younger. It forces you to pursue the Art itself: pure efficiency, no wasted movement, no unnecessary effort. Just the minimum required to win.

He put it to the test, and it's how he got better — at 60, proof that training older makes you better. Forty years of experience distilled into building blocks that make everything else effortless. Maximum result, minimum effort.

Train as if you're 10 years older, not 10 years younger.
